The volume of Reform Club records, 1899-1901, contains minutes of each meeting, a list of members and dates of all violations, and the treasurer's reports. The minutes include some details of political canvassing, as well as investigations of recalcitrant members. There are also copies of letters of condolence addressed to members upon a death in their families, in addition to one sent to Mrs. Ida McKinley ( - ) upon the assassination of President William McKinley ( -1901) in 1901. The records were kept by club secretary, E. T. Hastings ( - ).

The Worcester Reform Club was founded in 1876 by Dr. Henry A. Reynolds ( - ) and incorporated in 1907 as a temperance club. The organization held weekly meetings at its Reading Room at 414 Main Street, during which a roll call was taken, violations of the abstinence pledge were reported by members or by an investigative committee (which resulted in dismissal from the club), treasurer's reports were studied, and new members were accepted.
